Tim Dobson serves as an of counsel at ACSV Legal and heads the Energy Practice. He has over 35 years experience at major international law firms such as Linklaters, Deacons, Allen & Overy and DLA Piper in London, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand.
Tim holds an LL.B (Hons) from the Faculty of Law of the Edinburgh University in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Tim is a United Kingdom and Hong Kong qualified lawyer.

Tim has an extensive experience in Southeast Asia and has been advising multi-internationals, local clients and small enterprises on a wide range of transactions from large complex cross-border deals to small investments in various sectors such as Energy, Business, Corporate, Commercial, Private Equity, Hospitality, Real Estate and Construction, and Banking and Finance.
Tim and his team have mainly acted for sponsors, lenders and corporates with regard to relevant agreements, such as power purchase agreements, offtake agreements, project and equity finance, EPC agreements, leasing, joint development agreements, and collaboration and consortium agreements. He also has advised clients on corporate and tax structuring, licensing and technology transfer.
