Vu Nguyen serves as of counsel at the Energy Practice of ACSV Legal andpis managing Partner at Venture North Law. He obtained an LL.B from the Hanoi Law University, and an LL.M from Nottingham University, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Hanoi Bar Association.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Vu has extensive experience in advising strategic investors, sponsors and lenders of large infrastructure projects, equitisation of large State-owned enterprises and corporate restructuring. He has advised either project developers or international financial institutions on BOT contracts, Government guarantees, and financing documents for various energy and power projects, including solar and wind. He has played a pivotal role advising clients in the three largest equitisations of State-owned enterprises to have successfully attracted foreign strategic investors.
Vu also advised major international insurance companies, financial institutions and investment funds on investment restructuring in Vietnam, including strategies for exiting or acquiring majority positions in their existing investments in Vietnamese companies.
